Blackboard Tutorials> Welcome

Welcome!

Welcome to Blackboard 5, the comprehensive and flexible e-Learning software platform from Blackboard Inc.

Blackboard 5 delivers a course management system, customizable institution-wide portals, online communities, and an advanced architecture that allows for Web-based integration with administrative systems.

This section of the site contains Blackboard tutorials designed for traditional face-to-face faculty incorporating components of the Blackboard (Bb) interface into their curriculum and for Online faculty at Seton WorldWide.

Organization

The Blackboard (Bb) tutorials are divided up into sections that match the workshops given by the Teaching, Learning and Technology center. It is strongly suggested that you attend all the sessions given in a set before you use the tutorials.

Movies

Some of the tutorials will have accompanying tutorial movies. To view these movies click on the movie indicator.

To view these movies you must have Quicktime Installed. To download the Quicktime free of charge see Related Links or click the Quicktime Player icon to the left.

Distance Learning Tips

Some of the sections will have distance learning tips. To read the tip, click on the distance learning icon and a pop-up page will appear. To close the pop-up window, click on the "x" on the upper right hand side of the window as you normally would.

(The Distance Learning Tips are a future development of the site.)

Frequently Asked Questions and
Troubleshooting

If you have any questions, use the Contact Us link on the purple link bar on the left of the page or call your Instructional Designer.

The Instructional Designer assigned to your subject is listed on the Contact Us page.
