Heidi Trotta is a full-time e-Learning Developer, Instructional Designer and Adjunct Professor at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey.  Her major responsibilities involve (1) e-learning creation and production work and (2) assisting students, faculty and staff with integrating various technologies into the classroom and their personal lives.

Her specialty is developing interactive eLearning, micro-learning, video-based learning, and blended learning design approaches for instructor/virtual instructor and leader led training along with guides, infographics, job aids, traditional and video scripting, role plays and reference materials.  She creates engaging learning experiences through innovation, gamification, new strategies, technologies, and ideas that increase learner’s skills to make a positive impact.

Heidi enjoys teaching at the college level where she takes a design thinking approach to course design and delivery.  Undergraduate and graduate courses promote self-directed and active learning, allowing students to solve real-world problems while promoting critical thinking using theory and frameworks to justify decisions and actions.  Current adjunct teaching load includes Adult Learning Theory and Coaching (online).

Heidi has her Ed.M. from Teachers College at Columbia University in Instructional Technology and Media with a Master’s Degree in Adult Education/Instructional Media from Seton Hall and certificates in Advanced Web Design/Web Graphics from Rutgers University.

To relax and have fun, she loves to pursue creative projects such as painting, sculpting, mixed media, creating books and drawing.  She loves cooking and ballroom dancing.
