eLearning
For the last couple of years my focus has been on online course development. and elearning. The following information outlines the work I have been doing in this area.
Quality Matters Review
Seton Hall follows the Quality Matters Development and Review Process using the standard Review Rubric. As a Certified Quality Matters Reviewer (2009) the following courses were developed to meet those best-practice standards.
Online Police Graduate Studies Program
Seton Hall University offers its exceptional law enforcement personnel program online. Developed in collaboration with SetonWorldWide and the College of Education and Human Services, the M.A. program in Human Resources Training and Development makes it convenient to earn a graduate degree. The online programs prepares law enforcement professionals for leadership roles by providing an intensive, high quality, graduate-level educational experience. The courses for this online program have been developed over the last two years. Faculty are mostly adjuncts, working or retired law enforcement detectives or police officers. Special challenges: working with adjuncts not often available or on campus with little or no educational theory background.

University Core Curriculum Courses
Seton Hall’s core curriculum is a multi-facted approach to general education that encourages student to become thinking, caring, communicative and ethically responsible leaaders with a commitment to service. Core 1101 is the Journey of Transformation, a course that explore perennial questions central but not exclusive to the Catholic intellectual tradition (i.e. What is humanity? What is the meaning and purpose of life? How can genine happiness be found?). This first course invites students into a conversation via some of the great texts, films, artwork and other cultural artifacts that focus on transformative journey. The second course, Christianity and Culture in Dialogue, Core 2101, looks at the relationship between Christianity and culture through an approach based on dialogue, development and community. Christian texts are paired with texts from non-Christian works to demonstrate similarities and common threads among cultures.
Both of these two courses are text heavy and rely on the faculty member assisting students in finding meaning and identifying themes through discussion.
